The Annual Fund is the most important fund at PNA. This is a primary way for alumni, parents and friends to support our School. By providing financial support to help offset operating costs, the Annual Fund gives PNA leadership the tools to respond to pressing needs and create promising initiatives for giving our students the best education possible.  


Every student is on a scholarship. This is typical of private schools, tuition does not cover the complete cost of educating our students. As a result, we rely on your support to cover the gap between tuition and the true cost to receive a PNA  


Your generosity makes it all possible. The Annual Fund supports the smiles, the challenges, the laughs, the self discovery day to day and is an investment in our most important resource: our people. 

What is the annual fund campaign?

The Annual Fund Campaign is our fall fundraising effort that makes up the difference between tuition and the actual cost of operating the school. Our budget is set so that tuition remains as low as possible and the cost of tuition does not cover the full cost of a PNA education. Every year, PNA seeks 100% participation from all current parents, faculty, staff, and the board. We also seek support from the entire PNA community including alumni families, adult graduates, and community members.


Why should I consider a gift to the annual campaign when I already pay tuition?

Annual gifts make up the difference between the income provided by tuition and the actual cost of operating the school, including classroom resources and teaching tools, educational technology, equipment, and continuing education for staff. Your gift to the Annual Fund campaign directly influences the educational experience all students have at PNA. The availability of more resources equals access to more educational tools and opportunities. 


Why is 100% participation so important? 

When PNA applies for foundation and corporate grants, and when we look for community partnerships, our Annual Fund campaign participation rate is one of the factors considered as those organizations make decisions. This year is especially important as we are seeking accreditation and they want to see a strong showing of support from those closest to the school. Accreditation is important as it helps PNA retain and attract qualified staff. 

How much am I expected to give?

Any amount, even a $5 donation is meaningful. The Annual Fund campaign is so important to PNA that a generous donor has agreed to double the impact by matching your donation. Although your gift will be twice as much, it will be worth more than you know! 


How are annual fund gifts used? 

The money you donate to the Annual Fund is used within the fiscal year in which it is received and supports a portion of PNA’s operational needs. This includes hiring and retaining outstanding faculty members, enhancing academic and extracurricular programs and maintaining facilities. 

Charitable giving is a necessary part of independent schools financial profile.
