Alumni Success Stories:

Jasmine Neeno (PNA 2003-2006) is currently a junior at West High School, where she is achieving high academic honors and participating in the challenging two-year International Baccalaureate (I.B.) program, and seeking to further herself as an "active, compassionate and lifelong learner".  In her spare time she trains in Nordic skiing and biathlon.  She is planning on competing in the  US Jr. National Biathlon Trials being held in Anchorage this December.  She "came back" to PNA this summer to ride her bicycle from Anchorage to Seward for PNA's team in the "Ride For Life" with her former teacher, Charlie Tyrrell, and the Head of School, Mark Niedermier.

Samantha Neeno (PNA 2003-2008) is currently a freshman in West High School's Highly Gifted program where she is enjoying the academic environment.  She recently participated in the US Sport Climbing Championship in Sunnyvale, CA where she made it to the semi-finals.  Her goal is to qualify for the World Championships someday.  When she is not climbing, Sami enjoys reading, judo, theater, animation and "exercising vigorously".   Her favorite classes are Spanish and English.  PNA has given her the skills she needs to succeed prepared her well for high school.

Lindsay Allen (2006 graduate) is a sophomore at Linfield College in Oregon where she is studying French, Spanish and Sociology.  During the year between her graduation from PNA’s former High School program and beginning college, Lindsay lived in Paraguay and worked for the Moises Bertoni Foundation in connection with the Mbaracayú Preserve, one of the largest remaining tracts of privately owned dense humid sub-tropical forest in South America.

Kieffer Christianson (PNA grades 3, 5-8, 2000-2007) began attending Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont this year, a school even smaller than PNA (about 70 students) and is continuing towards his goal of competing at the world level as a member of the U. S. Ski Team.  PNA's scheduling flexibility and individualized approach to teaching facilitated Kieffer becoming one of the top alpine racers in his age group in the country. His parents home-schooled him in his freshman and sophomore years so he could continue his demanding race travel schedule. As a freshman, he won the world championship for boys 14 years and younger ("J3") in the slalom and took second in the giant slalom at the Topolino races in Italy, thus becoming the only American boy to accomplish this feat in the 46 year history of the race.  Last year, he was the youngest male racer to qualify for the U. S. Nationals alpine skiing championships.
