Can my child sign up even if s/he does not attend Pacific Northern Academy?
Yes!  Create Academy is open to all students in grade K-6 for the 2021-2022 school year.  Students must be age 5 by September 1, 2021.
How are campers grouped? Can they be in the same camp as their friend?

Camps are grouped by the campers grade during the following school year.  For example, students who will be in Kindergarten during the 2021-2022 school year are eligible to attend camp.  Students must be age 5 by September 1, 2021.

We do our best to accommodate requests for campers to be grouped together, however it may not be possible if campers are in different grade levels.

Do you offer before-or-after camp care?

Yes, before-and-after care is included in the price of the camp.

Before care hours: 7 am-8:30 am
After-care hours: 3:30 pm-6:00 pm

Please Note:
Late Fee: $20 (minimum charge) for late pickup after 6 p.m. plus an additional $2/min after 6:10 p.m.

Is there a waitlist? The class my child wants is full.

Yes, you will be given the option to be added to the waitlist if the camp is full.  You will receive an email if a spot becomes available.

How long are classes and camps?

Camps are week-long, day camps with hours from 8:30 am-3:30 pm and extended care provided between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm.  Camps are offered between June 1 and July 30, 2021 with no camp available the week of July 5-9.

Where is Create Academy located?

Create Academy is held on the campus of Pacific Northern Academy at 2511 Sentry Drive in South Anchorage.  It is one block south of the Abbott Fred Meyer.

Where do I drop off and pick up my child?

Drop off and pickup are at the main entrance of PNA. An email will be sent out prior to the start of your first camp with detailed instructions.

How much does a day camp cost?

$310 for a 5-day camp; $248 for a 4-day camp

Are there any additional fees?

A non-refundable fee of $56 is required at the time of registration in order to secure your child’s spot at camp.

An optional Supply Kit (marker, colored pencils, pencils, scissors, tape, etc.) is available to purchase for $15 or campers have the option to provide their own supplies.

Technology/Lab/Supply fees may be applied to certain camps to cover the cost of additional supplies or materials. Any additional fees will be noted in the camp description.

Do I have to pay in full for a camp to be registered?

No.  Several payment options are available to parents.  The $56 non-refundable registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration in order to secure your child’s spot at camp.  Camps must be paid in full two weeks before the start of the camp.

What is your cancellation/refund policy? Can I transfer from one class or camp to another?

Campers may transfer to another camp, provided there is space available.  Parents are responsible for any additional fees associated with the camp.

Refund Policy Due to PNA Cancellation:
In the event that we (either by our decision or by municipal/state order due to COVID-19) cancel a week of camp, we will refund all fees associated with that week of camp. The $56 annual registration fee is nonrefundable and covers all Create Academy programming throughout the year (summer camp, school vacation camps and after school enrichment activities).

Updated Parent Cancellation Policy:
If plans change and registration needs to be cancelled, all camp tuition will be refunded, minus the $56 yearly registration fee, if PNA receives the cancellation request at least two weeks prior to the start of the registered camp.  There are no refunds within two weeks of camp however campers may be transferred to another week if space is available at the discretion of the camp director.

Refunds will not be given if a child is unable to attend camp due to a quarantine or a possible COVID-19 exposure that occurred outside of the camp setting.  We will however attempt to transfer the child to another camp week after the quarantine has ended if possible.

What are the COVID-19 Travel Policies for camp?

Create Academy follows state mandated travel policies. The most up-to-date policies can be found on at Students will not be allowed to enter the building if the child or someone in your household has traveled outside of the state unless required quarantine period has been met according to the current Alaska travel mandates.
