One of the defining elements of PNA is the mission. As we reflect on the past 25 years, one of the things that has remained the same is that very mission. As a kid you might not fully realize the impact of these words, but these words are what reflect the history of all the exceptional learners and independent thinkers that have attended this school. Providing the tools to fulfill this mission has always been a community wide pursuit, another element of PNA that hasn't changed.

"We educate students to be exceptional learners and independent thinkers of vision, courage, and integrity."

As a community we have come together in many ways, instilling the fact that a school isn't a school without the people--the kids, the teachers, the staff, the families, the friends, the alumni, the alumni families, the list continues. PNA has this active legacy because for the past 25 years this community has seen the value of our mission and have supported the fostering of each student that comes through the door. Without this support we wouldn't be the independent school that we are.

One of the values of being an independent school is the fact that we help our exceptional learners grow through a relational approach. Through individualized procedures, these kinds of learners are the ones that are driven by passion, they think outside the box, find creative solutions to solve challenging questions, and take academic risks. This foundational characteristic serves each student as they navigate and discover their unique path, something they will carry with them as lifelong learners.

By igniting this passion to learn, these exceptional learners are independent thinkers that dream big and seek to achieve their goals no matter the obstacle. They have a growth mindset, learning from everything, including perceived 'failures.' As such, an independent thinker asks the difficult questions, works to figure things out, and takes the time to reflect afterwards. Within PNA's collaborative environment, these kinds of thinkers are able to fill a unique need within a team, working as a unified system to create solutions.

With your support and using our mission to guide us we will see another 25 years of exceptional learners and independent thinkers!
